ADULTS
Adult Forum is one of the Sunday morning options for adults. The forum takes place during the Sunday School hour and may involve visiting speakers, presentations by parish members with knowledge in an area of interest, or an occasional class or discussion lead by one of our clergy.
Bible Study-Wednesday - Father Sam Buice leads this study at the Marshes, following the 10 o'clock Eucharist. Though each session will build on the previous week's, they can also stand alone. So, if you cannot make the weekly commitment, you are still welcome to drop-in.
Inquirers Class - Led by the rector, this group explores the basic tenets of Christianity and of the Episcopal Church. Geared to newcomers. Next class TBA.
Yoga- Each week at St. Peter's Episcopal Church at 3:00PM on Tuesdays we practice the Kripalu Yoga Method that emphasizes directing one's self into postures, paying attention to body alignment and breathing as consciously as possible. This type of yoga is often called "meditation in motion."
Our yoga practices emphasize age and ability appropriate activity that integrates the Kripalu and Iyenday Schools and Viniyoga Discipline for those just beginning yoga. This is essential for people with limited flexibility or particualr physical limitations. Practice is available without charge to anyone interested - and participants need not be a member of the church.
Currently, we have a core group of about ten people who practice on a regular basis. We are confident that our group, which changes in size from week to week, is good company, supportive and a lot of fun for those who want to begin a yoga routine. On the other hand, our program is fine for anyone who wants to get back into weekly practice with an instructor.
